This morning we all got up and got packed for our car trip, went down to have waffles, toast, cereal, eggs, apple or orange juice, muffins and coffee. When we were almost ready to leave mum and Tom were outside and mum locked the keys in the car. We had to call Avis to unlock the car from where they were. After the car was unlocked we set off up to the top of the rocky mountains to see the views and the wildlife. At one point we had stopped at a peak to look at the view and we saw some chipmunks and ground squirrels. When I saw the squirrels I raced to the car not because I was scared but to get my chipmunk finger puppet. I got back outside and I had the puppet on my finger and a squirrel came right up to me to get a closer look then a chipmunk came up as well for a look. They both sniffed the nose and then left. Dad didn't know that I had a chipmunk finger puppet so he got all exited and thought that I had a real squirrel on my finger! When we stopped at a lookout I thought that I had seen a penguin on a rock near us so I yelled out "there's a penguin over there" but it was only a black raven that was scratching itself. Dad drove really close to the edge just to freak mum out. It was really funny. We arrived safely in Breckenridge and had to rearrange our reservation but it all worked out.
Bye from Breckenridge
Lucy
